On May 3, 2024, Chen Zhigang, president of the Federation of Chinese and Overseas Chinese in St. Petersburg, Russia, visited Liaozhan Group and held business talks with Liaozhan Group and Guohe Group on the cooperation of the Sino-Russian trade chain service platform project. The overseas Chinese Association of St. Petersburg, Russia is a regional social organization initiated by a group of old overseas Chinese and Chinese organizations in 1999, approved by the Russian judicial department in April 2004, and formally established in the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China and the overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council in the same year. It has promoted the cooperation and exchanges of overseas Chinese from all walks of life in China and Russia in economic, technological, and cultural fields, and has enhanced the friendly exchanges between the Chinese and Russian peoples, A great deal of fruitful work has been done in safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of overseas Chinese and ethnic Chinese in Russia.
The construction of the Sino-Russian trade whole chain service platform project is based on Liaoning Industrial Exhibition Hall of Liaoning Exhibition Group and Sino-Russian Commodity City in St. Petersburg. Russian commodities and Chinese (Liaoning) commodities perennial pavilions will be built in Liaoning and St. Petersburg respectively to display and promote Liaoning and Russian characteristic commodities and promote two-way trade docking and business negotiation. At the same time, based on the international trade business of Guohe Group, a two-way foreign trade comprehensive service platform between Liaoning and Russia will be built, provide one-stop service for import and export trade for export enterprises in Liaoning Province and Russian import and export enterprises, better promote the economic and trade interaction between Liaoning Province and Russian federal entities, and realize the two-way growth of import and export volume between Liaoning Province and Russian federal entities.
After negotiation, the two sides of the project have reached a consensus on the above cooperation matters, and are formulating the next specific implementation plan and strategic cooperation agreement. This move means that Liaozhan Group and Guohe Group have taken a creative first step in the task of opening up to the north.
